Director of Healthcare Pathways
Help Pipeline Connects strengthen healthcare career pathways across Arizona. This senior, hands-on leader will turn healthcare workforce priorities and pathway intelligence into coordinated action with healthcare providers, education and training partners, and regional stakeholders statewide.
Full-time | Arizona-based virtual location | Statewide travel

About the Role
Pipeline Connects is seeking a Director of Healthcare Pathways to lead strategy and implementation for a statewide healthcare pathways initiative developed in collaboration with Mercy CARES.
This highly external, hands-on role will bring together healthcare providers, colleges, universities, training organizations, rural and regional partners, workforce intelligence, and Pipeline Connects teams to strengthen connections across priority healthcare pathways.
The Director will serve as the primary implementation lead, turning complex workforce needs and partner priorities into clear plans, coordinated action, and measurable progress.
What You’ll Lead
- Healthcare pathway initiatives from strategy through implementation
- Healthcare provider activation and partner relationship management
- Coordination with colleges, universities, CTEDs, training providers, and regional partners
- Rural and regional healthcare pathway implementation across Arizona
- Translation of workforce and pathway intelligence into implementation priorities
- Project roadmaps, dashboards, scorecards, reporting, and continuous improvement
- Cross-functional coordination across Pipeline Connects teams and external partners
The Director will personally drive implementation while coordinating specialized work through Pipeline Connects’ K–12, postsecondary, data, technology, communications, and leadership teams.
This is not a recruiting, staffing, sales, fundraising, marketing, or data-analyst position. The Director will use data, partnerships, and professional judgment to identify where action is needed and organize the people, decisions, and implementation required to move the work forward.
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone with:
- 5+ years of relevant project, program, healthcare, workforce, education, public-sector, or community partnership experience
- A record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from concept through implementation
- Strong project and program management, communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills
- The ability to build practical systems and solutions where a process does not already exist
- Experience using data, dashboards, scorecards, or performance measures to guide implementation
- The ability to establish accountability across partners and teams without relying on direct reporting authority
- Experience or meaningful exposure to healthcare strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Arizona’s healthcare, workforce, education, regional, or rural ecosystem strongly preferred

The right person will be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, working independently, building relationships across organizations, and determining what needs to happen without waiting for a predefined process. Statewide travel, in-person partner meetings, presentations, and regional convenings are an important part of the role.

Salary: $90,000–$105,000
Benefits: Full employee benefits
Funding: Grant-funded with an initial one-year commitment
Continuation and potential expansion beyond the initial year will depend on performance against established metrics, partnership priorities, and continued funding.
