Since 2014, the work behind Pipeline Connects has driven collaboration across Arizona’s workforce ecosystem, uniting stakeholders and powering PipelineAZ to connect talent with opportunity.

2025

PIPELINE CONNECTS IS ANNOUNCED

To better support the programmatic work of PipelineAZ, the program separated from PEI to establish it's own 501c3 nonprofit in 2023 and rebranded as Pipeline Connects in 2025, continuing the same mission that has driven workforce innovation since 2014.

2024

PIPELINE AZ COMMUNITY REACH SURPASSES 200,000 AND IS RECOGNIZED AS A FINALIST FOR NONPROFIT OF THE YEAR

Pipeline AZ’s accelerated growth exceeds expectations, surpassing the projected $71 million economic impact.

2023

PIPELINE AZ SELECTED TO BUILD DIGITAL EDUCATION AND CAREER ACTION PLAN (ECAP)

Pipeline AZ earns EdTech Award for Career Exploration Solution of the Year while supporting graduating students across the state to complete their ECAP requirement.

INDUSTRY CONNECTION ENHANCED BY EXPANDED HUB DEVELOPMENT

Industry Hubs act as centralized portals connecting talent, training, and employers, all while delivering valuable data insights and fostering community collaboration.

2021

STRENGTHENING THE CAREER READINESS CONTINUUM THROUGH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS

Maricopa Community College District (MCCCD), Arizona Department of Education (ADE), The Center for Future of Arizona (CFA), and Arizona Business & Education Coalition (ABEC) invest in platform enhancements to expand user capabilities supporting career exploration and guided pathways.

2020

EDUCATION LEADERSHIP GROUP (ELG) CONVENED

The Education Leadership Group (ELG), uniting 80+ education and industry leaders, collaborates to align workforce needs with talent development through a skills-driven career feedback loop.

2019

PIPELINE AZ OFFICIALLY LAUNCHES

PipelineAZ officially launches with support from a statewide Advisory Council.

2017

COMMUNITY INVESTMENT

Maricopa County Industrial Development Authority (MCIDA) invests $7M to develop the PipelineAZ platform, incubated with Greater Phoenix Economic Council (GPEC) and Arizona Partnership for Economic Innovation (AZPEI).

A SKILLS-DRIVEN TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM

A statewide vision is crafted aspiring to develop a single access point for comprehensive career pathway information in Arizona.

AN INNOVATION ECONOMY

The Velocity Report provides a blueprint for Greater Phoenix to prepare Arizona’s workforce for the future economy, focusing on aligning talent with industry needs.
